	概要（Abstract） 文法化の研究に比べて、構文化の研究は緒についたばかりである。構文文法の誕生以来、国内外で構文研究は盛んになっている。しかし、多くの研究は、構文の通時的発達にはほとんど関心を払ってこなかった。本書は、最新の理論に基づき、コーパスなどを駆使し、通時的、共時的観点から英語を分析した画期的な論文集である（ひつじ書房webページより一部抜粋）。執筆を担当した第7章（「句動詞の文法化とイディオム化－方向を表す副詞を例に－」では、英語本来語で方向を表す副詞away、forth、outを取り上げ、その歴史的な言語変化を用法基盤モデルの観点から分析を試みた。具体的には、forthはHaspelmath (2004)における撤回（retention）の事例であり、awayとoutはともに文法化の事例であること、上記3つの副詞を含む句動詞は、個々の事例により異なるタイプのイディオム化に分類されうることを示した。

	概要（Abstract） The purpose of this paper is to shed light on the historical development of such constructions, especially with the verb load from the standpoint of diachronic construction grammar. Based on data retrieved mainly from ARCHER, the following will be shown concerning the verb load: (i) It evolved from the corresponding noun by way of the past participle; and (ii) a construction type which is associated with the resultative meaning, is historically followed by the other type which is associated with the caused-motion meaning. From a diachronic construction grammar perspective, (i) explains the reason that a prepositional phrase headed by with, which has been analyzed as an adjunct, behaves similarly to an argument.

	概要（Abstract） 自他交替を許す動詞climbを取り上げ、その歴史的発達を認知言語学の視点から考察した。
	備考（Remarks） 本稿では、歴史的文献を収めたいくつかの電子コーパスを用いて、動詞climbの通時的な使用の実態を調査し、認知文法におけるセッティング/場所/参与者に基づく事態認知の観点から考察を行ってきた。climbは「手足を使っての全身移動」という自動詞用法をプロトタイプ的意味として発達し、さほど期間を置かずに他動詞用法を獲得している。これは、認知主体による場所・参与者の反転という認知能力によって動機づけられている。しかしながら、自動詞用法に対して他動詞用法は、その目的の指示対象が歴史を通じて限定的であり、トークンおよびタイプ頻度も高くはなかった。特に後期近代英語期になって「数値の上昇」といったメタファによる意味拡張はいられるものの、英語史においてはclimbのプロトタイプ的な「手足を使っての移動」意味の保持力が強く、支配的であると主張した。
2016	At-Constructions in English: A Cognitive Historical Perspective	単著

	概要（Abstract） This paper provides a cognitive historical analysis of expressions using the preposition at, or at-constructions, in English. In this paper, it is proposed that at-constructions have a general construction schema indicating backgrounding of the end portion of a whole movement or action. This schema is motivated by the bodily experience of directing attention to something and cognitive prominence among focused entities. Because at has been used frequently to describe these fundamental cognitive processes, it is argued that, due to the conserving effect (Bybee (2006)), the constructional meaning of at-constructions has been observed throughout the history of English, in contrast with the relevant descriptions in the Oxford English Dictionary and the Middle English Dictionary.

	概要（Abstract） The Corpus of Historical American English (COHA)などの電子資料を用いて、way構文の近・現代アメリカ英語における発達を調査し、構文文法理論の観点から考察した。具体的な主張は、特に後期近代アメリカ英語では、プロトタイプ的意味である「道の創造による何らかの障害（物）を除去/排除する移動」から、「力の行使による何らかの障害（物）を除去/排除する移動」のスキ－マ意味、さらには「何らかの障害（物）を除去/排除する移動」や「特異の形態での移動」といったスキ－マ的意味に拡張している例があるものの、特に「特異な形態での移動」の事例であっても、文脈を見ると何らかの障害（物）の存在を想定することが可能であることから、現代アメリカ英語の母語話者においても、プロトタイプ的意味が完全に漂白しているとは言えないと主張した。

	概要（Abstract） In this paper, based on examples retrieved from Early English Books Online (EEBO), the one’s way construction was found to become frequent from the seventeenth century onwards, about two centuries after 1400, which is when the first instance of the construction is claimed to have appeared in English according to the OED. Frequency-based investigation of the present construction also reveals that examples following the [[make] their way through/(in-, on-)to NP] and [[force] their way through/(in-, on-)to NP] patterns are predominant in the early stages of development, and the former became frequent about 50 years before the latter.

2012	A Usage-based Analysis of Phrasal Verbs in Early and Late Modern English	単著

	概要（Abstract） In this article, focusing on the distributions of away and out taken from colloquial corpora of Early and LateModern English, it is shown that the partially idiomatic and idiomatic phrasal verbs (PVs) are instances of idiomatization caused by grammaticalization and by lexicalization, espectively. Based on these observations, it is claimed that these two types of PVs can be explained by a Usage-Based Model put forth mainly by Langacker (2000) and Bybee (2006, 2010). Specifically, the idiomatization of partially idiomatic PVs involves repeated schema extractions leading to productivity, whereas the idiomatization of fully or highly idiomatic PVs involves the ‘conserving effect’, whereby a highly entrenched linguistic expression with high frequency resists further language change.

In this paper, verbs with out and away that appear in two corpora are examined. Based on the investigation of these corpora, it is suggested that the phrasal verbs with out are fully established by the Late Modern English period, whereas the phrasal verbs with away are not.

	概要（Abstract） sprayはloadとともに現代英語を代表する所格交替動詞であるが、loadとは異なり、後期近代英語期には動詞で使われること自体少なかったことがわかっている。さらに、現代英語のsprayは動詞として使われ始めるとするのと同時に所格交替しており、この点もloadとは異なる。本発表では、sprinkle, splash, showerという3つのSprayクラスの動詞の後期近代英語期の使用状況を観察し、これらの意味的特徴などがsprayの所格交替に寄与した可能性を指摘した。

2016	English Workshop A・Bにおける英文法の理解	English Workshop A・Bでは、英文法の基本を押さえつつ、その背後にある文法体系や論理性の理解を促す指導を行った。普段何気なく使っているThere構文や受動文などの構文が表わす意味の適切性を文法体系の中で理解することにより、ライティングの際に自信をもって用いたり、リ－ディングにおいて話者の意図をより深く理解できるようになったとの意見が寄せられた。	2015/04/01~2016/03/31
