概要(Abstract) In this presentation, the researcher will discuss how he integrated critical thinking and intercultural awareness into an action research project involving Japanese university students. The participants brainstormed a variety of social issues from their own country as well as developing nations. After agreeing on a topic, each group was responsible to research and find images for a collaborative PechaKucha presentation. Afterwards, the learners created voice files to accompany the images they selected. Video editing software was then used to merge the images and students’ voices into a digital PechaKucha presentation. This collaborative task acted as a springboard to get student duos to create their own digital projects, which were shared with their classmates through a private YouTube channel and during a classroom mingling activity. The researcher will highlight the participants’ perceptions of this practical project and show how it can be used in a wide variety of instructional settings.
